First 5K after Having a Baby Playlist

I haven’t raced with music since 2006. Typically I don’t run with music very much at all unless I’m on the treadmill. However, coming back from a year off and carrying an extra 20-ish pounds of baby weight (and that was after losing 20-ish pounds) – I needed the extra motivation of a running playlist.

My goal for this particular 5K, being my first in over a year, was to break 40:00. I had a few extra songs on hand if I needed them, but super-secretly wanted this list to be it (I think it’s around 36 minutes even?). Turns out it was. Well, almost. I had to repeat the last several seconds of “Footloose” once. I finished under 37:00 thanks mostly (as you can see below) to Queen.
